Style Sessions
an individualized Shopping Experience at Cake Plus-Size Resale!
Style Sessions at Cake come in a few different forms and all allow for a private shopping experience in pursuit of your style and shopping goals. Some folks book in for help establishing their style and size(s). In Style Sessions, you can get feedback on how garments fit in space free of judgment and assess what size(s) fit you well.
Cake offers a wide variety of items including plus-size brands you often only encounter online. At Style Sessions, you can shop all these items to become more familiar with the size/fit and styles of brands that might be new to you.
Many customers book a Style Session because they’re eager to have an expert pick out items for them. This can result in a more streamlined approach to shopping and/or just be more fun! Plus, we can offer styling tips - especially for the items you take home from your session.
STYLE SESSIONS with paxyshia
Book in with Paxyshia Yang for a 1-on-1 Style Session! Based on the info you provide, Paxyshia will pull a rack full of clothes just for you and spend 90 minutes providing styling feedback and working on the goals you’ve identified. Full Style Sessions booked with Paxyshia are $190. You can book one out 70 days in advance.

Introducing: Group STYLE SESSIONS
Many of you have asked about doing a Style Session with friends so, let’s try it! We’re now booking Group Style Sessions!
Both Cat and Paxyshia will join your Group Style Sessions for groups of 2, 3 or 4. Similar to standard Style Sessions, we will pull racks of clothing for you based on your goals for our session, your style, and your size(s). We’ll work with you while you try on items giving you feedback and suggestions. Lots more about Group Style Sessions and booking info here!
STYLE SESSIONS with Cat
Book in with Cat Polivoda for a 1-on-1 Style Session! Based on the info you provide, Cat will pull a rack full of clothes just for you and spend 90 minutes providing styling feedback and working on the goals you’ve identified. Full Style Sessions booked with Cat are $240. You can book one out 70 days in advance.

Mini STYLE SESSIONS
Book a Mini Style Session if you'd like some style suggestions with a rack of clothing picked out especially for you. . . but, would prefer to shop and try on independently. Cat or Paxyshia are available for a few questions or feedback but will not work closely with you during the session. Learn more about Mini Style Sessions and book here!
Style Session reminders + logistics
Style Sessions take place at our shop located at 5155 Bloomington Ave, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55104. Masks and proof of vaccination are required for participating in in-person Style Sessions.
Cat and Paxyshia both offer Style Sessions virtually. Just select that box on your form when you check out (after choosing the day/time). Group Style Sessions and Mini Style Sessions are not offered virtually.
Store credit included in Style Session rates is added to the purchaser’s Cake account. If any credit remains after a Style Session (which happens very rarely), that credit will stay on the account for future use. Store credit cannot be used to book a Style Session but, of course, can be used to purchase items while at your session.
Reschedule through your booking email up to 24 hours in advance for regular and Mini Style Sessions. Or, reschedule up to 72 hours in advance for Group Style Sessions. For cancellations due to illness or after the reschedule window, contact us directly. A no call/no show is subject to a “fee” of up to $100 store credit. Style Sessions are all sales final once booked.
